These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between Macadamia Eco Travel Tours and any person making an inquiry, reservation, or payment through the website.

Macadamia Eco Travel Tours offers private stays, excursions, experiences, accommodations, transfers, and tailor-made travel requests in Lombok, Bali, and certain related destinations in Indonesia.

Any booking request, reservation, or payment implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking Requests and Reservations

Macadamia Eco Travel Tours offers tailor-made trips, stays, excursions, and travel services in Indonesia. The programs, packs, itinerary suggestions, and content presented on the website are intended to help you build your trip and better understand the services offered.

This content is provided for informational purposes only. It constitutes a working basis that may be adapted according to your preferences, expectations, availability, seasonality, local conditions, logistical constraints, weather conditions, or safety requirements.

A booking request may be made through the website, a form, by email, via WhatsApp, or by any other contact method offered by Macadamia Eco Travel Tours.

A reservation will only be considered confirmed after:

  • validation of your request by Macadamia Eco Travel Tours;
  • confirmation of availability where necessary;
  • receipt of the required payment or deposit.

A booking confirmation may then be sent to you by email with a summary of the validated elements.

No service shall be considered definitively reserved until the required payment has been received.

1.1 Pricing Terms

Prices displayed on the website or communicated to the client are expressed in euros, unless stated otherwise.

Only the services clearly mentioned in the description, summary, or booking confirmation are included in the stated price.

Unless otherwise stated, the following are not included in the price:

  • personal expenses;
  • tips;
  • insurance;
  • flights not expressly mentioned;
  • visa, passport, or administrative fees;
  • vaccinations if required;
  • optional excursions;
  • suggested activities not included;
  • any service not stated as included.

Before confirmation, prices may be changed at any time in the event of an obvious error, unavailability, or a change imposed by a service provider.

After confirmation, the price becomes fixed for the validated services, subject to any modification requested by the client, any change imposed by a local partner, or exceptional circumstances beyond the control of Macadamia Eco Travel Tours.

2. Travel Information

2.1 Administrative Requirements

Travelers undertake to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information for any request or reservation, including names, contact details, dates, number of participants, and any information useful for organizing the stay.

Travelers must verify the exact spelling of their first and last names as they appear on their official travel documents.

Each traveler must ensure that they hold valid documents that comply with the requirements of the destination country, including a valid passport. For Indonesia, it is the traveler's responsibility to check the rules applicable on the departure date, particularly regarding passport validity, visa, and entry requirements.

Any traveler unable to board, enter the territory, or continue the trip due to failure to present the required documents shall not be entitled to any refund from Macadamia Eco Travel Tours.

Macadamia Eco Travel Tours shall not be held liable in the event of an invalid document, missing document, expired passport, identity error, lost ticket, or lost passport.

2.2 Safety and Health Risks

Travelers are invited to inform themselves before departure about the administrative, health, and security situation of their destination through the competent authorities and official travel information services.

Macadamia Eco Travel Tours may provide general information for guidance only, without replacing official sources or the traveler’s personal responsibility.

3. Conditions for Modification and Cancellation After Validation of Your Trip

3.1 Modification After Validation of Your Trip

Any modification requested by the client after validation of the reservation is subject to feasibility, availability, and acceptance by the partners concerned.

Any modification may result in:

  • administrative fees;
  • a price adjustment;
  • services already committed remaining payable by the client;
  • full payment of non-refundable services;
  • or the impossibility of carrying out the requested modification.

Where certain services have already been reserved or committed with partners and are non-refundable or non-modifiable, they remain payable in full.

Any refusal to pay fees, surcharges, or adjustments related to a requested modification may be treated as a cancellation by the client.

3.2 Cancellation of Your Trip

Any cancellation must be made in writing.

In the event of cancellation on your part, the following management, processing, reservation, and commitment fees shall apply:

  • Administrative and handling fees are non-refundable.
  • For any reservation made more than 21 days before departure, a deposit of 40% of the total amount may be accepted to confirm the reservation. In the event of cancellation at this stage, this deposit may be retained, together with 100% of any flights and/or non-refundable services already committed.
  • The remaining 60% balance must be paid no later than 21 days before the departure date.
  • For any reservation made 21 days or less before departure, full payment of 100% of the total amount is required immediately in order to confirm the reservation.
  • In the event of non-payment of the balance no later than 21 days before departure, the reservation may be considered cancelled due to your fault, with no obligation for Macadamia Eco Travel Tours to maintain the services, availability, prices, or initial conditions. The deposit already paid may be retained.
  • At 21 days or less before departure, any cancellation may result in the retention of 100% of the total trip amount, together with 100% of any flights and/or non-refundable services.
  • No-show at departure, late arrival, failure to attend a booked service, or abandonment of the trip during the stay shall be considered a cancellation on your part and shall result in the full retention of the amounts committed or due.
  • Any trip interrupted by the traveler, for whatever reason, shall not give rise to any refund for unused services or for the remainder of the trip.

In the event of cancellation by one or more participants in a reservation including several travelers, the trip price may be reassessed for the remaining participants, especially where certain costs were initially shared, such as driver, vehicle, accommodation, logistics, or certain common services.

After reassessment of the price, any refusal by the remaining traveler(s) shall be considered a cancellation on their part, with application of the conditions above.

We strongly recommend that travelers take out travel insurance covering in particular cancellation, illness, accident, assistance, medical repatriation, loss, theft, or delay of luggage, as well as any other risk related to travel.

4. Land Services

4.1 Accommodation

Check-in and check-out times at accommodations depend on the establishments concerned and local practice. Unless otherwise stated, it is customary to access rooms in the afternoon and vacate them by late morning.

Any specific request relating to schedule, room configuration, location, or comfort must be accepted by the establishment concerned and may incur an additional charge.

Unless otherwise stated, trips are based on double occupancy. Single rooms may incur a supplement. Triple or quadruple rooms may include extra beds, with reduced space or comfort.

4.2 Photos and Illustrations in Your Program

Macadamia Eco Travel Tours endeavors to present photos, illustrations, maps, durations, itineraries, and descriptions as faithfully as possible to the services offered.

However, the visuals and content appearing on the website or in descriptions are provided for illustrative and informational purposes only. They do not have strict contractual value and may differ depending on the season, weather, availability, local conditions, or the partners concerned.

5. Payment

Payment for services is made according to the terms specified on the website or communicated to the client at the time of booking.

Unless otherwise stated, the following rules apply:

  • for any reservation made more than 21 days before the departure date, a 40% deposit of the total amount may be accepted to confirm the reservation;
  • the remaining 60% balance must be paid no later than 21 days before the departure date;
  • for any reservation made 21 days or less before the departure date, full payment of 100% of the total amount is required immediately to confirm the reservation.

No reservation may be considered definitively maintained without compliance with the payment deadlines communicated to the client.

In the event of non-payment of the balance by the deadline, namely 21 days before departure, Macadamia Eco Travel Tours reserves the right:

  • to consider the reservation cancelled by the client;
  • to suspend, cancel, or not confirm services not yet secured;
  • to retain all or part of the sums already paid, including the 40% deposit, as compensation for administrative processing, availability blocking, and commitments already made.

Failure to pay the balance within the stated time limits shall under no circumstances oblige Macadamia Eco Travel Tours to maintain the services, availability, prices, or conditions initially agreed upon.

Where online payment is offered, it is processed via Stripe, a secure payment provider.

6. Liability

Macadamia Eco Travel Tours acts within the framework of the organization, coordination, presentation, reservation, and follow-up of the services offered on its website.

Macadamia Eco Travel Tours shall not be held liable for the consequences of external events or events beyond its control, including in particular:

  • loss or theft of flight tickets;
  • loss, theft, or damage to luggage or personal belongings;
  • failure to physically present at departure or arrival;
  • presentation of non-compliant identity or travel documents;
  • refusal of boarding;
  • transport delay or cancellation;
  • sudden unavailability of a local partner;
  • war, political unrest, strikes, riots;
  • natural disaster;
  • weather event;
  • administrative measure;
  • force majeure;
  • any health or security situation preventing the normal performance of the services.

In the event that an itinerary or service cannot be carried out, Macadamia Eco Travel Tours may propose an adaptation, replacement, reorganization of the program, postponement, or another reasonable solution depending on local possibilities.

If additional costs are imposed by local circumstances or by a new itinerary accepted by the client, these may be charged additionally.

Refusal by the client of a reasonable adjustment or of an additional charge imposed by the situation may be treated as a cancellation on the client’s part.

The liability of Macadamia Eco Travel Tours shall in all circumstances be strictly limited to the amount actually received in respect of the service concerned.

7. Personal Data

Data collected in the context of inquiries, reservations, and payments is used for customer relationship management, processing requests, organizing services, and complying with legal obligations.

8. Consumer Mediation

In accordance with Articles L.612-1 and following of the French Consumer Code, the client may make use of a consumer mediator free of charge after a prior written complaint.

9. Applicable Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by French law.

Any dispute shall fall within the jurisdiction of the French courts, subject to any mandatory provisions applicable to consumers.

10. Acceptance

Any order, booking request, reservation, or payment implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

In case of discrepancy or conflict of interpretation between several language versions, the French version shall prevail.
